Back pain
I went to see Hyejung earlier this year with intense back pain and she removed it with acupuncture. I had never tried acupuncture before but did so on a friend's recommendation. She is the greatest and have been helping me with my energy and general health issues that I have been dealing with.
Migraines
When I came to Hyejung for treatment, I was getting severe migraines every month. Each one lasted for days and was so painful it would bring me to tears. Nothing got rid of the pain, until I started sessions with Hyejung. The severity and duration of my headaches went down after a couple of sessions and now after a few months of regular treatment I have gone 2 full months without a migraine or any headache. I have more energy and I feel like my body is better able to heal itself.
I began Acupuncture treatment with Hyejung about 6 weeks ago for my tendonitis I developed while boxing with my personal trainer, as well as complaints of menopause related hot flashes and night sweats. After 5 treatments, the night sweats had significantly decreased. I was no longer waking up in the middle of the night having to throw off the bedcovers, strip off my pajamas and throw open the window. I am able to sleep all night under the covers, without waking. The severity of the daytime hot flashes also diminished to the point that I no longer have sweat dripping off my nose and chin at work! I am not taking any other form of treatment for the menopause symptoms, such as hormone replacement or pharmaceutical drugs. I am currently treating for sinusitis, which has cleared up after 2 weeks, compared with several months it used to take to clear up.

Allergy
I was very skeptical of acupuncture but had been continually having worse daily sinus pressure, sneezing and stronger reactions to pets. I wanted to explore alternative options rather than walking around in a Benadryl haze everyday. The idea of needles was quite nerve-racking but Hyejung's calming demeanor and wealth of knowledge made me feel at ease. I was surprised to find that I actually fell asleep during treatments and left treatments feeling completely relaxed and rejuevinated.
I am still in treatment but everyday I can feel the difference in the way my body responds; it's learning how to fix itself during a reaction and how to clear itself up without chemicals. The results have been very impressive and I definitely recommend acupuncture, and more specifically, acupuncture with

Chronic pain
My experience with acupuncture in general, and Seattle Acupuncture wellness center in particular, has been nothing short of life changing. I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for years and the only time I have been pain-free has been with the help of acupuncture. When I first started seeing Hyejung, I had already seen several other acupuncturists with good results. Unfortunately, these results were temporary. Hyejung patiently worked holistically to free me of many long-standing problems that seemed unrelated, but that were underlying the symptoms on which I had normally focused. Her treatments have given me great relief from digestive and sinus problems and I have an increase in energy and concentration. My neck and shoulders are no longer a problem. She was also able to help me, using medicinal herbs and acupuncture, with short term things like colds and injury from activities. Neck Pain
Hyejung is an incredibly effective and compassionate acupuncturist who cured me of unbearable neck pain which put me in a neck brace last year. At the beginning of my first session with Hyejung, I was unable to move my neck at all. By the end, I was able to move my neck again and I could even support it without the brace. After only a few more sessions with her, I was completely out of my neck brace and regained full mobility of my neck. The sessions were amazing and the results were unimaginable. I will always be grateful for Hyejung’s help and will never forget the miraculous outcome.
Chronic Pain
After suffering chronic pain for many years and exhausting every method of conventional medicine, I finally tried acupuncture. Hyejung accomplished in weeks, what painkillers and drugs could only mask. I am a true believer in the healing power of acupuncture and recommend Hyejung, a knowledgeable and caring practitioner.
Arthristis
For 10 years prior to my first visit to Hyejung, I experienced ever decreasing mobility from hip and back pain caused by a reactive arthritis. After what seemed countless specialists, thousands of dollars and more wasted time than I care to think about, a friend mentioned Hyejung Hayes and Acupuncture therapy With all honesty, I must admit I was the quintessential cynic and the idea of needles to treat my pain not to mention my life long aversion to needles, I had my misgivings.
Enter Seattle Acupuncture Wellness Center and Hyejung. She was terrific. Hyejung was very thorough with explaining how she practiced her art an after the even more thorough initial consultation my fears abated and most importantly the therapy is amazing.
I find it almost impossible to describe to another just what the therapy does, however suffice it to say, the change in the way I felt, the increase range of motion and energy after only a few treatments from Hyejung, I wish I had found the therapy and Hyejung’s healing art, 10 years sooner.

Arthritis
My arthritis has been a constant source of pain and fatigue for many years. Specifically, my shoulder and knees are the areas most affected. I called Hyejung Hayes to make an appointment one day when I was having especially bad pain and could barely concentrate at work. At the appointment, Hyejung took the time to get my full medical background so her treatment was tailored to my needs. Her attention to privacy is outstanding. After the first treatment my knees felt much better, and I was able to walk pain-free for several days. Continued treatment has allowed Hyejung and I to track the progress in several areas of my body, and it is obvious how acupuncture has improved my arthritis. It's been a slow and steady progress, not an instant cure, and with each treatment I can tell that my body responds better and better.
Acupuncture has helped me in a general well-being capacity, as well as targeting specific areas of pain. It's amazing when my left shoulder hurts, then she works on my right ankle, and the pain in my shoulder subsides! I would recommend acupuncture, and Hyejung in particular, to anyone with chronic pain. It really does help.

Neck Pain
I went to Hyejung because of a month long stiff neck. It was completely gone after the 4th treatment session. My sciatica had stopped bothering me after the 7th session. My lower back pain and stiffness is nearly gone. Acupuncture works!!
Back Injury
In April of 1991, I injured my back in an altercation. My injury left me with constant pain and numbness in my left leg and foot. Nothing ever brought any relief. I lived in pain 24 hours a day. All doctors would say was to learn to live with the pain because they saw no way to eliminate it. Having found no relief for my problem for 12 years, I was willing to try anything. I am so glad I did. Hyejung’s expertise in acupuncture has brought back my left foot and leg. The improvement that was made was amazing. 26 years of police work have wreaked havoc on my poor body. Hyejung has greatly improved my physical quality of life which in turn has also helped my mental status. I can not praise her and her work enough, nor can I ever thank her enough. I highly recommend her. I am living proof that acupuncture can make a difference.
Pain
I was impressed with Hyejung’s thoroughness in diagnosing and explaining my overall physical issues, tying together my childhood likenesses, body constitutions and current physical symptoms. She was gentle with needles and sensitive to my body reactions. I liked the way she created a treatment plan of several sessions to restore body’s balance rather than just trying to remove the pain I was experiencing. My excruciating pain from neuralgia disappeared shortly after treatment began and my doctor was surprised to find out I didn’t need a narcotic pain-killer.
Depression
Hyejung had helped me overcome and manage my depression holistically. I had not benefited from traditional talk therapy and I didn’t want to rely on prescription medications. I was amazed at how much better I felt after the first treatment.

High Blood Pressure I have been working to keep my blood pressure under control for the last 5 years now. Using a combination of exercise, diet and western medication the best I could do was to maintain reading in the 140/90 range. These readings classify me as having hypertension. A little less than a year ago now, I began acupuncture and herbal treatment under your care. In less than a year we have achieved and maintained blood pressure readings of 110-70!
Pregnancy
Initially, I went to Hyejung to try to induce childbirth naturally when I was 7 days past my due date. After the session, I went into labor the next day. Even without this benefit, I found our session to be extremely relaxing and enjoyable. I left her office feeling both light and grounded. Hyejung was very perceptive of my needs, and I was soothed by her calming presence. I have received another session of acupuncture since the birth of my son and I plan on continuing to see her when I am seeking balance, relaxation, and a release from tension in my life!
